It is with regret and deep sadness that I inform you of the passing
of Florence Elman.

Florence Elman was the the founding President of the Jewish
Genealogical Society of Southern Alberta and a member of the board
of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS).

Florence was also for many years the coordinator of JewishGen's Ukraine
Special Interest Group (SIG) and a moderator of the Ukraine SIG's mailing
list.

Florence will long be remembered as a devoted leader, an inspiration
to genealogists. We will all miss her.
