Although I am not on GENI , it seems to me that the problems associated with
this could be overcome in the following way. Keep your own tree on your
computer. Put your tree on Geni, and then use Geni only to see where others
are taking it and take >from it those things that interest you and put them
into your personal tree, ignoring where it goes, unless you have something
else to add that fits with the new directions it is going. That way you
would "have your cake and eat it". You would keep control of your tree but
get the new stuff if it shows up
