I believe a "Felsher" is more like a pharamacist. A "Felsher" was knowledgeable in all types of herbal medicines. They were the "country doctors" in Russia. They served an apprenticeship to learn the various remedies. I don't believe they performed surgery or "set bones." I hope this helps.
