My mother and her sisters were born in Amstiveva near Volkovisck - I can not find it on any map. Can anyone help me? All this is in the gubernia of Grodno.
Amstibovo is now known as Mstibovo in the Volkovysk district of Grodno guberniya, coordinates 53deg 07min North, 24deg 15min East, ESE of Volkovysk. (Russian spellings given. There may be Belarussian names now that differ. For example, I believe Volkovysk is now Valkavisk).
