I'd like to clarify my response to a recent posting seeking information
on obtaining ED's on NYC maps. I formerly worked as a public librarian
at the North Babylon Public Library in North Babylon, NY and we
frequently got census related questions about ED's and mapping. Our
system library in Bellport, NY was a U.S. government depository, so
we forwarded the requests there. The librarians there were able to
provide mapping of the NYC ED's >from NARA materials at their disposal
or got them via Interlibrary Loan. My suggestion to the person needing
the information is to contact his/her local Reference librarian and ask
that Reference librarian to interface with the Reference Dept. at the
Suffolk Cooperative Library System in Bellport, NY. The information the
inquirer needs should then be available via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
