I second and third Dave Fox's remarks.
Over the years, I have noticed that many Mogilev families had branches
in Bobruisk and in Gomel. I generally advise people looking in one of
these places to also look in the other two as well.
In our own case, we know there were at least two Talalay branches (from
the Mogilev city area and surrounding villages) in Bobruisk.
One small group went to America (my ggf's brother and his family to
Newark NJ), and the other (a seemingly much older branch just recently
discovered) married into the Katzenelson family (among others) who moved
to St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as more recent immigrants to
Melbourne Australia and Brooklyn, NY etc).
Genealogy is all about sharing information, particularly in those
geographical areas where there was considerable movement among a few
closely-situated population centers.
I, for one, look forward to the cooperation and involvement of the
Bobruisk Interest Group in the Belarus SIG.
