I have been researching my husband's family >from Drisa in Vitebsk
Gubernia for many years. Recently I uncovered a long lost branch on
the tree. Zalman RITCH (it was RITZ in Drisa) came to America in the
1890s and settled in Brooklyn, NY. He was a pharmacist. I found him
with his wife, Dora, and daughter, Celia, listed on the 1910 census.
I found a death record for a Solomon Ritch in Brooklyn in 1910. So he
may have died after the census was taken. I have tried to search for
his wife and daughter on other censuses and couldn't find any evidence
of them. I think I need some help. Some background is that the rest
of Solomon's family either settled in Brooklyn or in Montville,
Connecticut. One brother named David RITZ, never left Russia and we
were told settled in St. Petersburg, and was a cantor there. I've
also tried to search for any evidence of him and haven't been able.
I'd really appreciate some help with these family branches. I've hit
