Bessarabia SIG #Bessarabia Bessarabeska Jewish Cemetery, Faleshti Jewish Cemetery #bessarabia

Yefim Kogan

Hi everybody,

I want to let you know that we received initial sponsor's donations for work
in Bessarabeska Jewish Cemetery, Bendery Uezd. That town, shteitle had one
of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Bessarabia. Bessarabeska previously was
named Romanovka, and Romanenko was one of Jewish Agricultural colonies in
Bessarabia, and the cemetery exists on the map of 1840 Bessarabia! Please
consider donation to the cemetery project (to Bessarabia-Moldova Cemetery
Project)!

The second cemetery - Faleshti, I got only part of the initial money. Who
is interested, please consider donation and please let me know the amount.,
and we can start soon the project. Actually Faleshti has two Jewish
Cemetery: Old, and New. Faleshti Cemetery (assume OLD) also exist on the
map of 1840!

I encourage you to donate $100 for a particular cemetery to
Bessasrabia-Moldova Cemetery Project. In this case you will receive the
whole Excel table with records before they will appear at JewishGen. Also
if you find your relative(s), I will send you ALL photos we have for that
grave. In some cases we have 2-3 photos.

If anyone want another Jewish Cemetery in Bessarabia be photographed and
indexed, please let me know, and I will tell you approximate cost of the
photos (indexing are done by volunteers!)

All the best,
Yefim Kogan
