Hello everybody,

Everybody is now trying to understand how the new JewishGen group works. Of
course with all this confusion in the first month of October, even in half
of October we got 387 messages as of today. Even if you are getting digests
for every 12 message, still you should get 30 digests.

There is way that you use this group, read messages, reply, post and not see
any emails in your email box... You can use the website of the group
instead and see all messages by month, #hashtag. Here is address of that
website: https://groups.jewishgen.org/g/main
Also keep in mind that the number of postings will decrease, I hope.

from the other hand there is a good reason to use this new groups, and I

hope that soon our Bessarabia SIG will also have a place in this new
platform. There are at least 3 reasons that this "old" discussion group
cannot handle:
- we do not need to write posts in plain text;
- we can attach files. In the old system we would need to place them in
some repository and the message have a link to it;
- people >from different countries can post a message in their language and
we easily can translate it.

I am planning later today to post a message about Bessarabia Cemetery
project progress, and I will do it here in our Bessarabia group, and also at
the new JewishGen group, and the difference is that I will add some images
to the new group for you to know the state of the cemetery today.

Please be patient with the changes and ask questions in the new group and
also here.
