maps of Danzig, I also recommend the city map at http://mitglied.lycos.de/Pomerania2/images/danzig2.jpg, dated 1896, on Hauke Fehlberg's website "Genealogy in historical East Germany." It shows the Great Synagogue in section B4. I am in the process of trying to get permission to place this and other maps on our SIG website. (Note: I have not provided a link to the homepage of Mr. Fehlberg's website, because it carries advertising that sometimes includes material some might find objectionable.) On the German website www.raether-buch.de the author wants to publish city maps ("Historische Landkarten") >from 1910 of Danzig (and Stettin, Breslau, Thorn and Koenigsberg). Best regards Martin Conitzer, Wachtberg, Germany martin.conitzer@t-online.de
