maps of Danzig, I also recommend the city map at
http://mitglied.lycos.de/Pomerania2/images/danzig2.jpg, dated 1896, on Hauke
Fehlberg's website "Genealogy in historical East Germany." It shows the
Great Synagogue in section B4. I am in the process of trying to get
permission to place this and other maps on our SIG website. (Note: I have
not provided a link to the homepage of Mr. Fehlberg's website, because it
carries advertising that sometimes includes material some might find

Dear researchers, The German website www.danzig.de is partly under
construction, but Mr. Naujocks tells about old maps and history of
Danzig coming soon. On the German website www.raether-buch.de the author
wants to publish city maps ("Historische Landkarten") >from 1910 of
Danzig (and Stettin, Breslau, Thorn and Koenigsberg).
