DNA Research #DNA Thoughts for the New Year... #dna
Susan E. King <susan.king@...>
As the Jewish New Year approaches and we gather with family and friends
in a time of self-reflection let us also think about what the year just
passed has meant to all of us who are part of the JewishGen family.
First and foremost has been the impact of our affiliation with the
Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust which
facilitated nearly 1,000,000 new records going online. Notwithstanding
this accomplishment, more is available, more is on the way and more can
indeed be realized in the New Year.
The JewishGen mission is clear and the grassroots effort that has been
our hallmark is stronger than ever. The generosity of material
donations, the contributions of volunteer time and skills and the
financial support so generously given has played a vital role in
preserving our precious history. This same generosity will define our
future and will define the accomplishments we can achieve working
together. As you reflect on the year gone by, please give thought to the
year to come.
A financial gift in any amount, whether it be $5, $50 or $500 or more
will be instrumental in insuring that JewishGen can continue to acquire,
process and display millions of additional records and information so
vital to our research and vital to Jewish continuity.=20
With the help of all of our constituency at levels you can afford,
working together, as we have demonstrated in the past, 2 million, 3
million, 5 million new records is not out of reach. Please consider a
gift for JewishGen's future during this season by visiting
http://www.jewishgen.org/jewishgen-erosity/contribute.ihtml this day.
On behalf of the entire MJH family, the JewishGen Board, officers and
staff, we wish you all a Healthy, Prosperous and Sweet New Year.
