Aside >from the thoughts of the pundits, has anyone considered the location of origin of the mtDNA Hg K1a9?
My mtDNA is of the K1a9 haplogroup and my oldest known matriarch was born in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyy. Other K1a9 genetic cousins tend to be >from Romania and Poland. I am of the opinion that the K1a9 matriarch originated in Poland and her descendents dispersed along Carpathian trade routes. This Hg does not show in Western European Ashkenazim.
