Apologies if this question has been answered many times before. My
maternal family has a Sephardic name (CARO) and I'd like to know if
we are of part-Sephardi ancestry. Sephardim did make it to Poland,
so it's by no means out of the question. On the other hand, that is
**such** a prominent Sephardic name that it could have been adopted
owing to its great lineage.
So my question: is this the sort of question that genetic testing
might be able to answer? I am not trying to prove a relationship
with a particular individual or family.
Many thanks for your thoughts. Feel free to point me to an
authoritative URL if this ground has been covered before.
