Donn is the guru.
However, many immigrants to Maryland in the 18th century >from Britain were
actually bonded passengers and indentures.
It would not hurt to check Peter Wilson Colham's "Bonded Passengers to
America, 1718-1775" unless you have supporting evidence showing Alsace or
Germany as the home country.

Tue, 11 Oct 2005 Ms Sarah Walls <firstname.lastname@example.org> asked:
I am trying to find out for sure who the parents,
grandparents, gr-grandparents and so on back are of
Levi WALL Sr who is believed to have been born in
Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co, Delaware before 1744.
I am also trying to find out what was the port of
entry to the United States and who the first settler
was in the Wall line.
How can I find out who the real WALL settler was and
where he departed Great Britain?
