French SIG #France Re: Naturalisation help please #france

Yes, there is a CD, but only for naturalizations
enacted between 1900 and 1950 (and another one
for those enacted between 1900 and 1960, but the
most useful part, by far, is before 1950). You
can easily find details on Google, by typing eg
"cd naturalisations 1900-1950" or "cd
naturalisations 1900-1960. These cd are only
indexes, after that one must go to the Archives
nationales (in Paris, or in Fontainebleau after
1930) to make a preliminary search and then
consult the files (requests are not possible by mail).

We (the Cercle de Genealogie Juive) could send
you a copy of the file (there is no STELLMAN(N)
naturalization between 1900 and 1950). I give you
the details by a private message.

I know there is a CD somewhere which has naturalisations on it. In the
long term I would like to buy this so would appreciate details (maybe

In the short term I have a conundrum:
In May 1881 Harris Louis STELLMANN married Sarah CARCELLONI at
Tournelles Synagogue, Paris. There is no date of birth but his place
of birth is given as Manchester (UK). I have looked in UK censuses and
in 1901 there is an entry (the only one I can match so far) which
gives a Henry and Sarah STELLMAN who appear to fit the bill. Henry is,
however, given as a French subject. IF the marriage data is correct,
then he would have been British, by birth. However, many children of
non-British born immigrants in this time frame didn't know that and
declared themselves as Russia or whatever their parents' were. So, I
am looking for a French naturalisation of a STELLMAN before April
1901. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance and best wishes,
