One set of my fourth great-grandparents were Isaac Andres and Cornelia
Philipp. They lived in Holten in the Rheinland, a town that is now part of
the city of Oberhausen. I know little about Isaac and Cornelia other than
Isaac probably died between 1815 and 1819 (based upon naming patterns) and
was about 60 years old in 1793. Any ancestral information is of interest to me.
Their sons changed their patronymic to the family name ISAAC. The children were:
1) Helene (Lea) Isaac, married to Wolf ISAAC (originally Isaac Wolf
Benjamin) about 1769 Binningen - 21 November 1857 Holten
2) Andreas ISAAC 24 June 1778 Holten - 28 August 1851 Holten, butcher,
married 24 February 1808 Rheinberg to Zippora (Sibilla) Suss SPIRO 12 July
1792 Rheinberg - 25 October 1832 Holten. Death record of Zippora states
that she was 52.
3) Fratje Isac 1782 Holten - 28 November 1845 Orsoy, married to Jacob Moyses
CAHN 1773 Grevenbroich - 17 September 1855 Orsoy, butcher and tradesman.
Fratje and Jacob were my third great-grandparents.
4) Sibilla Isac Andres about 1790 Holten - 20 April 1866 Rheinberg, butcher,
married 5 April 1815 Rheinberg to Emanuel (Mendel) PHILIPP 1 December 1796
Rheinberg - 1877 Rheinberg
5) Phillip ISAAC Holten
I am interested in exchanging information with anyone who has data on
Fratje's siblings. There were known ISAAC descendants of this family in
Kalkar, Xanten, and Rheydt.
