I just joined the group. I have been doing genealogy research for
one year. I consider myself to be a novice in doing German Jewish
Genealogy research. I live in the urban city of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, USA.
My native language is English and I am not fluent in other languages.
I consider myself intermediate in using a computer. My experience in using
the Internet is intermediate.

I have identified the names and approximate birth date and the death date of my
grandparent, Sophie Jacobs SUPOWIT (or alternate Supowitz) as 1864 -1948,
born in Germany-Prussia.

My primary research goals now are to find out information about the Mendel
JACOBS Family. I have little else to to on. I do know there were 6
children in the family and their given names.

The family names and towns that I am researching are:
JACOBS - Schneidemuhl, Germany to New York in about 1885
