September 11, 2001 was the day of the attacks on the World Trade
Center and the Pentagon building.

November 9 was a fatal day in German history for four reasons:

1) 11/9/1918 - Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany abdicates after the
German Revolution, and Germany is proclaimed a Republic

2) 11/9/1923, The failed coup by Hitler in Bavaria

3) 11/9/1938, The 'Kristallnacht', the day of pogroms against Jews in
Germany

4) 11/9/1990, the day the Berlin wall fell.

Incidently, on 11/9/1921 Albert Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize
in Physics for his work with the photoelectric effect, See also:
