Can anyone identify Rabbi Levi BREISACHER, or the meaning and significance
of his titles?

He is a witness to the 1839 marriage record at Ihringen, Baden
(ca. 20 km. west of Emmendingen), of my grt-grt uncle Arnold (Aron LEVI)
BLUM and Rosina (Rachel) LEVI BREISACHER, daughter to Judas LEVI (Lehmann)
BREISACHER of Breisach am Rhein (ca. 5 km. west of Ihringen). In the record
his name and titles are: "Bezirks Aeltester Levy Breisacher von Emmendingen."

I also found the following citation in an article on the internet:
