The files in the USHMM are microfilm copies of records which were found
in a cellar of the Jewish community of Hamburg. The originals are in
the Zentralarchiv zur Erforschung der Geschichte der Juden in
Deutschland in Heidelberg. It were records, confiscated by the Gestapo
in different cities and towns during the November-pogrom 1938. After WW
II these records are given back to the Jewish Trust Corporation in
Hannover, later to the Jewish community in Hamburg.

As you want to know more about the records of the Jewish communities in
Lippe (Detmold, Lemgo, Lage, Oerlinghausen, Barntrup, Blomberg,
Schwalenberg, Schlangen, Alverdissen, Horn, Meinberg, Bad Salzuflen,
