JewishGen volunteers are currently digitizing a number of lists of Jews who
survived in or returned to Holland in 1945. These lists include a
substantial number of German Jews who had fled to Holland prior to the
German invasion, e.g. by place of birth, 18 >from Cologne, 10 >from Hamburg,
22 >from Berlin, etc. These names appear neither in the Gedenkbuch, since
they did not perish in the Holocaust, nor in the Residentenliste, since this
material was not available to the Bundesarchiv.
Ultimately, all the names will appear on JewishGen, but if any researcher is
in a hurry, and has reason to believe that family members fled to Holland
please contact me and I will check the lists.
