There are quite a few persons named Kaschmann, 23 in the Residentenliste and
9 in the 1939 census. There is a David Kaschmann born 12/1/1894 in
Ungedanken/Fritzlar-Homberg. In 1939 David lived in Kassel as did a number
of other persons with that surname. David died in Brandenburg 1/10/40. Of
the Kaschmanns, 4 were born in Grossroppenhausen --Emanuel, Julius, Max and
Mentel. David is apparently mentioned in a book, Juedisches Leben in einem
Hessischen Dorf by Ludwig Rothschild.
