I am trying to trace the family of my husband's great grandmother Johanne
SCHWARZSCHILD who was born in Kassel 15 Sep 1872, married Moritz SEEMANN,
and perished in the Theresienstadt ghetto.

I have searched available records online for Kassel for 1872 and
earlier, but have been unsuccessful. I have a USAncestry subscription
and also searched the microfilms available >from LDS Family History
Libraries but found none filmed. I also tried the Hessen archives but
it appears there is nothing for Kassel prior to 1874.

I would appreciate any direction for locating Kassel records for
this time period, preferably online, as I live in the US and cannot
research in Germany myself. Regards,
