Mark, I looked for the name Apfelberg in France, I don't know if what I
found can help.

There is a Sam Apfelberg who was authorized to live in France in 1908.

On www.geneaservice.com I found an Amelie Apfelberg married between 1903 and
1912. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rosa Jacosohn.

They also have a file concerning a Sam Apfelberg, born 02/02/1869
an other for an Adram Apfelberg.

But I could not see more, because one have to pay to access the files.

There was only 2 children with this name born in France between 1916 and
1940, They were born in the department of Somme.

And I could find only 1 in today phone book: it is a R. Apfelberg, living in
Amiens department of Somme.
