In answer to David Fox whose family came >from Northern Bukovina.
My family is >from what you would call Southern Bukovina - to be exact
Radauti, Romania. The records for this town are in Romania. I have not
joined the Rom-SIG as yet as I'm tied up with Krakow, Rzeszow and Ostrow
Maz. at the moment. Hoping to get into researching Romania in the next
couple of months. However, putting all of Bukovina into Galicia-Sig (of
which I am a member) is not the answer. What would those of us with
records in Romania do?
Perhaps it's time to become more active in Rom-SIG and get other members
who are interested in Northern Bukovina to lobby for more research in the
areas you're interested in. Make your groups interests known where it
counts - within Rom-SIG.
