list. It should not be searchable on a web site. If postings to the

I don't have concerns about the journal because I have never seen it and
don't know what is in it. Written Journals are searchable, but in a
much less accessible way. This makes them less invasive.

I would be interested to know how other people feel about having their
family information immediately available at the click of a Google
button. I was very suprised to see that I no longer have any privacy at
all, not because of postings to this list, but through other
organizations that I belong to.
I do have concerns about this, and I would like to know if this has come
up before.

I did want to hear what other people thought about this.

Linda Cantor has presented some serious concerns about an online
journal. I myself am not a subscriber to the current journal. I would
like to find out more about it.

One thing I have been concerned about in regard to online sharing of
information is the privacy issue. Once something is online, there is no
stopping the Google robot and other search facilities. Since many
people use mother's maiden names as security codes, I have been
wondering how much information to share at any Web site. I would like
to hear feed back >from people on this issue.

I was also surprised to find that two quick and illiterate
emails that I sent to the SIG are permanently posted on the JewGen
notice board. How do I get those off?
