Are you sure about Pruchnik being a part of Galicia? Pruchnik is the Jewish pronounciation of the town named Przasnysz, always a part of Poland. Dr Shimon Barak, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Please allow me to disagree - there is (and was) a town of Pruchnik (which is now a village) between Rzeszow and Przemysl, which indeed did have a Jewish population of roughly 10% (in 1880).
