My grand-father was born in 1891 in Tysmieniczany, a little sthetel now known as Tysmenichany near Ivano-Franskiv and emigrated to France in the twenties.
His name was Rubin HORN and I know only his mother' name Misie.
I would like to know if someone heard about this sthetel and know something about my family.
Does somebody know what the name Misie mean?
I know that it's a nickname in Yiddish but no more.
