Posen help, please! #germany

I'm new to this SIG and would appreciate some direction >from a Posen
researching maven. I've been doing genealogy for a number of years, but
I'm new to researching in Posen. I understand that the LDS has a film of
Jews that were naturalized there in 1834-35. What information can I
expect to find in that film other than a person's name?

I would like to locate birth records circa 1850. How would I do that?
The LDS civil records seem to begin in the 1870's, and there don't appear
to be any records for this area in the JRI-PL.database. Any help would be
appreciated! Thanks,

Mimi Katz, Chicago, Illinois USA
