Hungary SIG #Hungary * Putting on my Sh. Holmes cap (was re: New name of Wahrmann utca?) #hungary

If the moderator allows me to answer Susanna's question in public, here are some interesting information.

First al all, if you are looking for ANY information, use the Internet resources, mainly Google. There is hardly a word or subject that you won't=
find there.

For example, searching the words "Wahrmann utca" and only Hungarian sites I found the page (in Hungarian)
37/naplo.html, which informs that the street in question was at the corner of the "Tatra utca".

Then I discovered a very good Budapest map search site:

On that map I learned that still today there are 6 Tatra streets. They are in the 2nd, 4th, 13th, 18th, 20th and 22nd districts (kerulet).

I also checked the Kresz Geza utca, which is in the 13th district. So maybe there is a relation between Kresz street and Wahrmann street.

I also learned that Wahrmann M=F3r was a famous rabbi and lived in the Wahrmann-palota at Andrassy ut 23, in the 6th district.

Thus Susanna, if you have further information on the Wahrmann utca, you may now discover which street today corresponds to the one you are looking for.=
At least the clues are clearer and given above :-)

good hunt

Does anybody know what is the name today of
Wahrmann utca >from Budapest (1944)?

Is it Kresz Geza utca or am I mistaken?
