According to family sources, my father Jakub Berkovic left Chust in=20
the mid-1930s to train as a cantor in Berlin. If anyone can suggest=20
where I should look for further information on where he might have=20
trained, I should be most grateful. Also, the reasons why he might have=20
gone to Berlin rather than somewhere closer.
