Greetings fellow H-Sig:
I am reposting an email >from a couple of years ago in the event that new information or new members may yield some connections...

Looking for descendants of:
Abraham SILBERMAN (b. abt 1874),departed Hungary in 1911 and went to East Chicago Indiana, joining his brother Mihaly SILBERMAN (b abt 1882) who had arrived in East Chicago in 1909.

It appears that Abraham returned to Hungary, and then traveled back to the United States in 1914 with his father, Ignacz SILBERMAN (b. abt 1843).

Ignacz was born in Korosladany, and later lived in Devavanya and in Budapest.

from US Census Records I am deriving that Ignacz may have died sometime between
1914 and 1919, and that the son Abraham SILBERMAN may have gone by the name of Joe
SILVERMAN after his arrival East Chicago. Children of Joe SILVERMAN may be: Mike
(b. abt 1913) and Ignetz (b. abt. 1918).

I am searching for the decendants of or connections with this family line.

Please contact me privately should any of these names or places be familiar to you;
or if you have advice regarding this search.

Best Regards to all.
