Hello,
My grandmother was Kreindel or Klara ZOLDAN nee WEISSBERGER.=C2=A0 She was=
=20
born and grew up in Munkatch but the family may have moved >from greater=20
Hungary before she was born?? not sure.
Kreindel (Klara) was the daughter of Efraim Zalman (Solomon) WEISSBERGER=20
and Devorah (Vera) SHLEZINGER. Her siblings were Chaim Sender, Avraham=20
(Bumi), Leah, Malka, Sara Rivka, Nachman. Avraham Bumi survived the=20
war.
Efraim Zalmans was one of at least four children including Hirsh Melech=20
and Avraham born to their mother Sheindel WEISSBERGER.
Devorah was the daughter of Yitzchak Eizik and Sima SHLEZINGER.=20
Devorahs known siblings are Zelig (Zoli), Shlomo, David, Yaakov, Yehuda.=20
Yehuda SHLEZINGER has a son Zoli (US) and a daughter Sima (Russia).
Recently I found some documents which lists some information about the=20
camps my grandmother was in.
>from May, 1944 she entered Auschwitz for about 6 weeks.
>from July 1944 she entered Prose camp until the Russian invasion.
>from Russian invasion till end of April 1945 she was in Putzing camp.
My questions are:
1) Can anyone help with the above WEISSBERGER or SHLEZINGER family.
2) I googled the camps which I listed, i.e. Prose Camp and Putzing Camp=20
but found nothing. I am sure the spelling is off, this must be the way=20
it was heard by the one who filled out the form I referenced. What=20
could the names of these camps be and what info do we have about these=20
camps. Also, what could I research about Auschwitz for the months she=20
was there May and June 1944.
3) Although grandmas mother and most siblings seem to have been killed=20
immediately at Auschwitz, it seems that her father Efraim Zalman=20
(Solomon) WEISSBERGER wasn't killed right away and may have lived into=20
1945. What is available to me to research what happened to him and his=20
daughter, my grandmother.
I would be grateful for any help, leads, comments.
