The Zimmerman family of Tokaji, Hungary were part of a Hungarian winery
dynasty. Miklos and Blanka Zimmerman and Lajos and Margit Zimmerman
represented the family's long history in cultivation and production of
wines. Their home still stands, and is now part of the Royal Tokaji
headquarters where after seven decades, plaques were placed in front of the
winery headquarters in the town of Mad recognizing the family history in
winemaking. The Zimmerman's along with the other Jewish families of Mad
were taken to Auschwitz. The plaques acknowledge the family's roots and
forced departure.

Tokaji, a dessert wine made of grapes grown in the country's northeast
region. The nectar has even made it into Hungary's national anthem.
