a better tool for finding place names is jewishgen's gazetteer: <http://www.jewishgen.org/Communities/LocTown.asp>, but keep in mind that the search options, such as "phonetically like" and "sounds like", return entirely different sets of results. so be sure to check all different ways when you're not sure.
