10.30 am Forum - The Future of Family History Societies - A panel of
speakers giving their views and opinions, followed by a general
discussion, concerning: falling membership; low attendance at meetings;
relevance of FHS's to research; the impact of the internet. Chaired by
Alec Tritton. Panel comprises Paul Blake, Geoff riggs and Kathleen

experience of FamilyHistoryOnline - Alec Coutts

2.00 pm Digital imaging and publishing - Mike Kent
3.00 pm Encouraging and helping Societies' members to
participate - John and Beryl Hurley
4.00 pm Close of Seminar and afternoon tea.
This seminar is an information seminar which will be of particular
benefit to committee members or those considering joining the committee
of Family History Organisations. It is also open to any family
historian who wishes ot know more about the function of the FFHS.
