On Wednesday 20th July, at 7.00 p.m the JEWISH GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY OF=20
GREAT BRITAIN is sponsoring a joint event with the JEWISH MUSEUM in=20
London, to mark the centenary of the 1905 Aliens Act.
Historian NICK EVANS, in "Journey to a New Land", draws on his=20
extensive original research, describes the circumstances that led to=20
four million Eastern European Jews leaving their homes, between 1881=20
and 1914, and the challenges that faced them on their arduous journey=20
across Europe in the hope of building a better life.
Nick Evans is in great demand as a speaker and justifyably so.
