Max lived in Hampstead & had a factory in the East End.

Elsa Rosa HAAS b. ca 1893, marr. Alfred Richard GROVES, Nov 1914 at
Southampton. No divorce found. No record of this woman found in later
years. No cohabitation of Alfred & Elsa found after WW-I. No children
of this marr. found. Did the family move to the continent or Canada?

There is an Ellis Island record of a Max Haas which shows arrival (on
the Lusitania) of Max HAAS and wife, 12 Jan 1911, in NY on the way to
Montreal. He is noted as residence 30 Cavendish Mansions, West
Hampstead, England. Occ. Commercial traveler. Apparently accompanied
by wife, but her forename is not given. Whether it's the one I'm
after is unknown.

Address on Max and dau. >from other sources indicate Alfred and Elsa
lived at 103 Churchill Road, Willesden Green >from 1917-19 and Alfred
was at 141 Chapter Road, Willesden Green in 1933.
