I've just received my copy of the CD of the Jewish Registers 1813-1861 for Middle
Franconia, published by the Bavarian State Archives. Thanks again to all the
GerSiggers who made suggestions about how to contact the archives and order this
CD >from the U.S. It is a wonderful resource, and I have already found the
listings for many of my ancestors >from this area. Since I do not read German,
I expect to post some translation requests on ViewMate shortly. In the meantime,
can anyone clarify the meaning of the word "Brodling" [umlaut over the "o" which
appears in some of the listings? Thanks very much.
