JCR-UK SIG #UnitedKingdom re: Need help finding Evidence of Jewish Heritage for Peggy Gibbons #unitedkingdom

Dear Lisa,

Although you provided scant information below,
were her parents Bertram A Young and Sarah Rachel
(nee Ricketts). Bertram died in late 1964
(registered in the 4th quarter).

The obvious thing that springs to mind is to ask
whether her parents were buried in a Jewish cemetery?

I have reviewed several online burial locators
and none list a Bertram Young. So this makes me
wonder if the parents were buried in a non-Jewish
cemetery.

The other thing you could do is obtain their
marriage certificate to see where they were
married. If it was in a synagogue then it would state this.

Good luck

Jeremy

My late grandmother was jewish, but was not involved in a community. I
am finding it impossible to find any evidence of her Jewishness. Her
name was Peggy Gibbons, her mother was Sarah Rachel Young, they lived in
Hackney. I have searched online records but cannot find anything. Does
anyone have any advice or by some miracle any connections? Thanks,
