Anyone heard the name Schei? Was does it mean? What language is it? Any
other
information on the orgins?
It's Hebrew. It means 'gift'. I believe it's more modern Hebrew than
the word matana, which also means gift.
One of our family first names is Shea, passed down through the generations.
from my understanding it originally came >from Schmuel for Samuel. We have
always spelled it Shea except for my cousin who is female and it is her middle
name spelled Shay. Hope this helps
