I own apologies to Prof. Judith Romney Wegner. In a previous mail I said
that James and Jacob are not the same name, challenging what she wrote in a
previous mail. Prof Wegner was of course right, as James is indeed rooted
in the Latin name Iacobus, which stems >from Yaakov in Hebrew. Therefor my
sentence should have read something like "James and Jacob are two different
names in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian". Sorry for the flaw, I really
lack the erudition on names etymology, being just an amateur researcher.
