JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Names Vitshe, Manusya #general

Is Vitshe a Yiddish name? Is it a diminutive? My aunt Rita's name in the
Ukraine was Vitshe, as was her grandmother's. Or is it Russian, perhaps short for Viktoriya, the way Vitya is the diminutive of Viktor? What about names like Nusya, Manusya, Mousia? These sound Russian to me. Are they also diminutives, and if so of what longer names? What gender would they be?
