I have been trying to identify a number of people who lived in Vienna before the Holocaust. On the advice of several jewishgenners, I wrote the State Archives in Rathaus, specifically asking for parents' names, places of birh and periods of residence in Vienna.
The letter which arrived today did not include places of residence or parents' names. Is this information which they would have and didn't share with me - and therefore might respond to persistency - or information which they simply do not have?
