Editorial office: re: complaints about delays in receiving Appl. for Soc. Sec. # and Mr. Blevin's explanation - I want to post a testimony to his office's efficiency; I wrote my check 12/29/98 and received an application with great info. around 2/11/99 - i.e. 5 weeks. Maybe all the complaints speeded things up, but sometimes also an unfortunate are delayed. I think people need to be realistic about the burdens some of the archives are operating under and the time some things take.
