JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Re: 1920's Mt. Zion Burial Societies -NY #general

If those Societies still exist, the administrative office at Mt. Zion
Cemetery will probably have the name and address of a contact.

Many societies filled their plots in Mt Zion and later obtained plots in
cemeteries further out on Long Island, so you might also check with the
administrators at cemeteries like Beth Davis and Mount Hebron.

Recently I located two relatives that were buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in
Queens, NY, in the late 1920's. One relative was buried in the "Home for
Aged and Infirm Hebrews" (Wolf SIMON) and one was buried in the "Berthold
Auerbach Mutual Aid & Ben. Association." (Leopold SIMON) Has anyone ever
heard of these societies or know of any current contacts? I'm not sure how
my relatives are connected to these societies or groups.

Thank you for any help.
