JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Passover dish #general

My mother made what she called "glazed matzos" every Passover. This dish
is a family tradition, but in years of asking, no one in my family has
found any outside person who has even heard of it. My mother's family
came >from Eastern Europe. Foods are an interesting way to trace roots and
I would be thrilled if someone else on this list knows of this dish.

Whole matzos are coated with beaten eggs and a lot of grated onions. They
are then sprinkled with matzo meal and fried in chicken fat one at a time.
(Thank goodness Passover comes but once a year!)
