Any help with figuring out where "Djtoma" is would be appreciated. My
great-aunt's naturalization papers list her birthplace and last residence
as "Djtoma, Russia". Her brother, my grandfather, listed his birthplace
as
"Valene, Russia." I am assuming the "Valene" reference is to Vohlynia
Gubierna. The arriving ship manifest for my great-aunt and grandfather
list in cursive writing "Ztomia", "Zhtoria" or "Zhtovia". Any thoughts?
