In Chester G. Cohen's "Shtetl Finder Gazetteer" I found an entry for
"Britcheva" an agricultural center founded in 1839, north west of Odessa. It
was or is located about five kilometers south of the town of Tirnova in
Bessarabia province. There is a Yizkor book for the town "Pinkas Britchiva"
and it has a probably brief entry in the Encyclopedia Judaica.
